The road to becoming a therapist is (understandably so) a long one.

Provisionally licensed counselors are very competent and held to the same or higher standards as licensed counselors. As a PLPC, I have support and consultation from an experienced licensed counselor supervisor. I am a big believer in personal and professional growth, so I choose to attend trainings and certification programs in addition to supervision.

These are all precautionary measures to make sure therapy clients are treated in a competent and ethical manner.
