Why Understanding Your Anxiety Hasn't Made it Stop

Not sure what to write for your first blog post? You’re not alone. Blogging as a therapist is about offering thoughtful, helpful content that speaks to the real questions your ideal clients are already typing into Google. You want to write content that showcases your unique experience and expertise (rather than generic information, which people can find readily these days).

Start with topics you talk about often in session–those are the same things people are searching for online. Bring in the perspective and angle only you have . You might write about what burnout really feels like, how anxiety shows up in everyday life, or tips for setting boundaries without guilt. Maybe you’ve done some research and you can share data. Or maybe you create some case studies about how your clients change in therapy with you (protecting client confidentiality, of course).

As you write, remember to make your posts easy to read and scan. Break up long paragraphs with clear headings, and use bullet points or short lists when it makes sense. Not only does this help your readers–it also helps search engines understand and rank your content.
